365th Post

This writing journal began a little over one year and one month ago. This is the 365th post since that time. It occurs to me that there shall come a day when this journal is abandoned and floating in cyberspace. Once a site is no longer maintained, links tend to break and pages to disappear; we are lucky to have LJ in this respect. So long as this journal is not deleted or LJ killed off, I imagine these fics will float here forever. But the visitor wants to be able to wade through them without too much headache, yes?

I have re-vamped the tag system for search purposes. You will find the Tags Dictionary and Navigation entry sorted by alphabet or category, your choice. [Currently, the master fic list is in good shape, so I’ve left it alone.]

I know some of you are regular lurkers about this journal. (*points at you* Didn’t think I noticed, did you?) Thank you for your continued interest, truly. It helps also, I suppose, that I write fic like a crazy person and essentially spam the prominent fanfiction communities ALL THE TIME. (But how else are you supposed to notice me? XD) Suffice to say, I hope that I shall continue to write and that you shall continue to read.

On a story-note:

ACAS (Along Comes a Stranger) is drawing to a close. By the time it’s finished, I will have used up two months of my unemployment life and over 100k+ words. Not that I haven’t enjoyed the ride (I mean – really – what’s better than an AU with the Q and a bible-salesman!Bones?), but I think we all know I am a short fiction writer at heart. The only reason my attention span has yet to fail miserably is because I am determined to entice our heroes into a threesome – or so help me God, I will raze Riverside to the ground and no one gets to play anymore!

Er. Scratch that? The trio frustrates me once and a while.

For those of you patiently waiting for the final chapter to start the story, it’s on the way, I swear it. Just needs another few pit-stops or so. ;)

Well, that’s all I have for you at the moment. No drama, just ramblings!

You do realize that the average paperback novel is between 80,000 and 120,000 words? YOU HAVE WRITTEN A NOVEL IN PURSUIT OF THE ELUSIVE OT3. o/

… I thought an average novel as a hell of a lot longer! I really did! This means, considering my entire word count to-date, I could have written almost seven novels in a year? JESUS.

That’s amazing. The amount of dedication required to do that kind of thing is astonishing. And you keep getting better. I can’t wait to see where you’ll be in another year.

It’s funny… I thought I might have moved on from K/S/M by now, having exhausted it, but I cannot seem to let it go. So, if I am still writing this time next year, I wonder what I’ll be focusing on!

Follow your journal has been one of the best LJ decisions I’ve made in years. The amount of (quality) ficage that you turn out is astounding. A++ Many thanks from a lurker
