Glad you liked it! It’s one of my all time favorites. It’s just so amazing.
There were so many great parts but what I loved most (besides the freakin’ awesome sassy Sakel) was how much the author got the dynamic between Jim, Spock, and Bones – and with Uhura added without taking away from any of the other three! Plus the humor and understated heartbreak… I could go on. :) I am so thankful you told about this one.
Yes, the dimensions and character… everything were beyond good. I read that years ago but I still have the same emotional responses now that I did then. And when Jim stands up during the funeral? I crack up. There’s just something about Jim’s behavior and everyone else’s response to him is beyond perfect. I wish she had done more.
