I wrote the Epilogue to Sticks and Stones and I might be crying. Is it normal to cry when you finish a work?

I think it’s allowed, especially for something like Sticks and Stones. :) I know I’ll probably cry.
Aw, thank you! As much as I’ve agonized over the story, these characters have become like family. It’s hard to say goodbye to them. :)
*hugs* As someone who still cries every single time during TWOK for obvious reasons and during episodes like The Menagerie for less obvious reasons, I say it’s just a testament to dang good writing. :P Seriously, though, I always feel so dismal after finishing an epic-length story it’s a wonder I even start them in the first place. Writing something of that magnitude is sort of like a Good type of horcrux; it takes a piece of your soul with it so that other people can share what makes you who you are.
Sadly, my crying doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with good writing. LOL. Finishing an epic is often a great relief, especially when I’ve been stressing myself over one storyline for what feels like forever. Who knew a hobby could cause gray hairs? But in truth, I have been playing in this AU for so long (like a year or more?) that it hurts my heart a little to let them go. It’s great when you finally make that connection with the characters, where they are as real to you as the canon versions of themselves. I think it’s a blessing to discover your own little ‘verse where everything just seems to naturally come together and tell a story clearly. You know that, though, because you’ve done it too!
KCS, look at this new photo set from the STXII: Spock, yay! Do you remember the crazy orange-mesh environmental suit Spock wore in the episode The Naked Time? Am I seeing this outfit all over again? XD
TOS suits FTW. :D I just want to see the horrible silver bubble-head one from Tholian Web rebooted before I die…
