One of my favorite authors, kcscribbler, wrote me a little something-something (and by that I mean she wrote me a long, lovely five-and-one story) about McCoy called Watching the Watchman.

Summary: Five times Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock went all protective on Dr. McCoy, and one time McCoy showed them that he doesn’t need y’all’s coddling and can darn well take care of himself, thanks very much.

It is amazing. If you like h/c in regards to McCoy and times where Kirk and Spock are overprotective (even in which it causes them to do something quite dumb) of their friend, please read this story. KCS has the magic, folks, to bring TOS to life on the page.
