I was used to tagging non-fic entries as “personal”, and now I’ve decided that if I’m going to talk shop about other fandoms (still won’t be doing that regularly, just because), I need more appropriate tagging. Hence a new set of fandom tags (for non-fic related talks): star trek tos, teen wolf, sherlock, merlin, and supernatural. Old entries have been re-tagged and so forth.
Also, as I was going through my history of entries, I found this meme from back-when and brushed it off:
1. Go to page 77 (or 7th) of your current ms
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines – sentences or paragraphs – and post them as they’re written. No cheating.
“Shut up,” Leonard said mildly as he lifted free a skull missing its jawbone. “Ugly fucker,” he muttered under his breath then tossed it into the hole. He threw in a couple of ribs and a femur after it.
“The spell is gonna to do what it’s supposed to, right?”
“I told you to shut up!” snapped Leonard. “This is curse work. If I can’t concentrate, I might turn the curse on you.”

Whoooooa, that excerpt is quite creepy! And I imagined Len doing that in his uniform, so… idk. XD
Thanks! I think if he was in his uniform it would be really funny. This story is actually in an AU set in modern day. Leonard is a little bit magic. :)
when i was a kid there was a show on saturday nights called “chiller thriller” and of course it was scary movies but the the opening to the show had iirc a skeleton hand reaching out from the grave through the fog… your story is scary like that but yet more intellectual also..and i am older now so i vote for scary and intellectual. p.s. i haven’t forgotten about leaving a comment on your latest post.
Yeah, thing I don’t like about horror movies is when they are too much about fear and not enough about plot. I am okay with being scared if it’s for a good reason!
me too…
