no worries …..I sometimes enjoy the anticipation…. umm..LOL but is the word count of ten thousand how much you want the story to contain and the 3261 how many words you have to date….just I am a little confused….which is not a hard thing to happen to me…

What it means is that I am trying not to write more than 10k words for the final chapter and epilogue. Approximately 3.3k has already been written. Of course I can tell you at this point that I may be on track to write more than 10k. If that’s the case, I will up that number to 15k. IDK. It just depends. Normally I use this method to not only help me keep track of how much I’ve written, but how close I am to my goal. In this case, it’s mainly so I know where I stand in length. :)

oh I like this method…and I must say that I as a reader am thrilled to hear about the 10k length…makes me think of running a marathon

The story so far has been averaging close to 6k for one chapter. Normally I can write anywhere from 2.5k – 3.5k words in a day without too much issue. So imagine how wild it is to write 6k or 7k words in one day instead, plus then editing it to be posted. Unfortunately, my muse has been given to doing it this way (i.e. 6k words at a time) for The White Horse. I honestly don’t know why. But I think that is half the reason the chapters are coming so slowly. They wear me out!
