As if writing isn’t enough, I dug out my oil paints and sketch pads from storage. I want – read, WANT WANT WANT – to do an oil painting of a young Saetan Daemon SaDiablo from the Black Jewels fandom. I have the pose already decided upon – him looking down at his Black Jewel after his Offering to the Darkness. (I also have this idea where it’s a young Saetan in the foreground and young Andulvar in the background on one half of the canvas; the other half is Daemon and Lucivar.
BUT I CAN’T DRAW PEOPLE.
Okay, maybe that’s a bit of a lie. I can draw people, but I get a terrible headache doing it. I’m much better at painting landscapes or abstract art.
Below is my first pencil sketch of a headshot. It’s a rough attempt, people. I don’t even dare to try an arm and hand yet. :/ Keep in mind the last thing I honestly sketched (not doodling, which I like) something complicated like a person was at least 8 years ago.
It’s not quite the right person yet. >.<

Sweetie, that looks wonderful.
Aw, thank you. I think once I decide on a face shape for Saetan, all I have to do is play with it to get Lucivar and Daemon. At least, that’s what I’m hoping!
Whoa. Well I don’t know what you mean about not being able to draw. That’s awesome. I don’t know the characters so couldn’t tell you if the look is right or not, but it looks great to me.
Thank you. It’s very possible that once I finish this fanart project I will do some ST fanart too! I’m already picturing a McCoy pose. :D
ah! found it! he’s quite.. fascinating/sexy :)
Thank you. :) I need to quit dawdling and start the next sketch; that is, fix this one into the vision I had.
