I just ran across the word “anti-slash”.
Hrm.
Okay, so technically I know what it means. But is it a boycott of slash fiction or just, ya know, referencing non-slash (which seems like a safer term to me anyway)?
Also, I don’t really hang out in places where slash fics are considered heretical or disgusting or something, but I assume that goes on somewhere…
I suppose I will just keep mosing along. o.O

In my experience it’s been a boycott. I have a friend who used to be slash friendly till it overran a few of her fandoms where she was a rarepair het shipper and suddenly became anti-slash. She’s ranted many times about it.
How so very strange! Do you think the opposite would be true? That a slash shipper would become “anti-het” if a fandom was dominated by het pairings? I just can’t really see being anti-anything just because you like a rare pairing. And I’ve liked plenty of rare pairings, het and slash!
Actually… There are quite a bit of slashers (not all obs) that are very anti-het. They’ll out and state in like exchanges how much het sex or hints of a het couple will gross them out and they don’t want a lick of it in their fic/art. Crazy XD I’m a panshipper so I likes many a types of pairings (though ot3/4s are my fave heh). XD I do have a few anti pairings tho.. XD
