Hi, guys! So I made it to London! On the flight, I couldn’t sleep… and the first movie I watched was Star Trek XI–sort of like an initiation for my first international trip. :D I think the lady next to me was wondering why I wouldn’t stop laughing after every “Damn it, Jim!” XD
I might be working on something soon. Right now, I am in the middle of touristy stuff.
‘Til then!

Yay for making it there safely! Have fun with the touristy stuff.=D
I’m glad you made it safe. Pictures! Many many pictures. Was that the first time you had watched XI? I only ask because you write TOS OT3 and was curious. If so, how did you like it? If not, what was your reaction the first time you saw it?
Oh no, I’ve seen the movie! In fact, I am one of the many that was converted to ST by this particular film, and then went on to fall in love with the original series. :) My reaction was… OMG I love Karl Urban as this McCoy! I also kept wondering why Jim was always getting beaten up, and that Spock and Uhura seemed weird as a couple. I first watched this with my mom who is a long-time Trekkie–she gave me some insight into the film as it progressed. I was left at the end feeling very curious, and when this happens, I have to research the subject immediately. It blossomed into obsession from there. :D
McCoy is my favorite in that movie. I did the same though I did more research on the effects of Star Trek than actually watching the show. I tried but I got bored with a lot of the episodes, sadly. I’m going to try again as I want to watch TNG but I hate starting something in the middle. I can’t wait for the sequel! How’s London?
Very full of life and history. I am keeping a journal of my days here, which I may post later along with some pictures. Me neither, though I am disappointed that we have to wait until 2012 for it. :( I want more Urban!Bones right now!!
On the other hand, I’m also afraid of more Spock/Uhura and that they’ll pair Jim up with someone like… Rand.
Good news is I heard they’ve got a date for the beginning of filming. Bad news is it’s in January. We’ll see how it goes. I’m glad you’re having fun. I really want to go to Europe some day just to see what it’s like. It’ll be awesome.
