Christmas Fail

First, Merry Christmas to all! Today is for family and friends, holiday cheer and anticipation for the coming year. I wish everyone a lovely day. :)

*sneeze*

Unfortunately, I am sick. Painful sinuses and general ickiness. Don’t you just love winter colds that come along for the ride during the holidays? Nevertheless, I managed to make Christmas dinner per usual. (Yes, after much hand-washing. :P)

Today is quiet and I am attempting to finish – you guessed it – that fic I shall not name. I think I finally have an idea of how the characters come together. Alas, I literally had to re-write a scene THREE times because the computer decided to erase my efforts nilly-willy more than once. Since when it is against me? I thought we had a good working relationship!

:)

I am going to seek out some tea and try to keep going. Wish me luck. It feels like an uphill battle.

Maybe I’ll write a fic where Mr. Grumpy McCoy is sick and his buddies try to cheer him up. Ha!

BTW, awesome Christmas gift: LOTR in blu-ray. Totally worth watching!

Also, this macro always cheers me up…

*hugs* I’m sick too so we can curse the sickness gnomes together? :) I got Fantasia for my Blu Ray, but I think LotR is the next movie I’m getting.

*lols at macro* I have a sinus infection myself, have had it for two days (yay for working ten hours Christmas Eve with that); you have my deepest sympathies and hot cocoa and blankets and DayQuil coming your way. *offers Kleenex instead of hugs for sanitary reasons*

Your icon is sooo cute! I’m sorry, but isn’t that squinty owl totally McCoy? :D Of course, I’m sure I’d have a similar expression if I had to listen to Kirk’s caterwauling too. How do you function?! I can’t decide if I ought to praise you for sheer determination to work on Christmas Eve when sick, or to say… What were you thinking??? I have some hot tea, thanks, though I am mostly tempted to stick my face over the boiling kettle instead. Now a box of Kleenex and one of your fics… I might be okay. ;)
