I Squeed in the Middle of the Bookstore Like a Fangirl

… and it wasn’t because Karl Urban was turning the corner of a bookshelf. I wouldn’t squee then – I’d simply offer him the use of my uterus and probably end up under a restraining order. :D

No, this is much more simple.

Twilight’s Dawn was on the shelf.

Despite the fact that I know it has an ending I did not anticipate – nor will completely agree with, my joy remains undiminished that there is yet another return to the world of Black Jewels and the SaDiablo family.

I literally giggled all the way home and kept trying to peek inside the book instead of watching traffic. You guys, I am happy.

So the final part to The Elder and the Young won’t be completed tonight as I had planned – though I am a good couple of thousand words into it already. Tonight is for enjoying this final book of a series I love.

Oddly enough, some days ago a random person pm-ed me. She was under the impression that I had written the review on Dear Author for Twilight’s Dawn (I don’t know how she connected those dots, honestly…) and once we moved past the fact that I have yet to read the book, we discovered that we have a common obsession for Black Jewels. We hashed through our opinions on how Anne plans to close out this world and I wrote to her (and Anne):

Oh, Anne – you will be missed! I shall always love this series. It may end in a way that is painful, but there is still so much good left to savor.

So with these words in my mind and the book in my hand, I am off to read! :)
