Are you supposed to be writing right now instead of browsing your friends’ page? :)
I’m here to cheerlead if anyone needs it, or to simply hold your hand.
I think this past weekend was just plain non-conducive to writing. Maybe because it was a holiday weekend – an extra day, YAY! – and that makes people feel as though they ought to enjoy their free time. And if we’re honest, sometimes writing can feel like a job even when it’s a hobby.
Don’t stress out. Rough draft =/= painstakingly perfect.

We finished the first rough draft of our BB, just needs to be edited and def needs more scenes and such. Not too worried in terms of time, but I feel it’s not as great as last year’s bb and yeah… XD
I know that feeling – when you get all the basics down but realize there is still more fleshing out to be done. There’s plenty of good news though, right? You not only finished the rough draft, but in the month to come you will have time to “fix it up” until you are satisfied with it. I think you guys (I assume you have a co-author by your use of “we”) will make something fantastic by the posting date. :)
Yep co-author! It’s been helluva long time since I’ve written anything by myself and even longer since it’s been anything huge lol. But yeah I think we can do it, so not too stressed. Just hope people like the story and all. ^^ And that we get claimed quickly for art and mix haha. xD Also, noticed the awesome k/m fics you’ve been posting recently (haven’t had a chance to read past the first one and comment but will soonish), but it’d be great if you could crosspost to the kirk_mccoy comm? I know I’m not the only one that is not in both j/b and k/m comms. And also, any of the awesome trio fics you have that are equal or a bit more k/m heavy can be posted there too. =D

Lol, thanks, BB! I actually tried to open my document today and finish the ending. Instead, I ended up adding two words to the THIRD scene (like… 3/1,000,000), and I added a couple of words to the scene right before the stuff I need to fix. Progress is progress? Lol, I’ll see if I can get some more done tonight.
I sooo know that feeling. I go to write the next part and instead wind up re-reading and fixing what’s already there. Sometimes starting a new scene can be the hardest thing in the world. But congratulations, it sounds like you are pretty much finished with your rough draft. Makes you relieved, doesn’t it? :)
