I’m signing up for space_wrapped again this year. It’s only like… the fifth year in a row. ;)

Now, I think it’s time to do it a little differently than I have in the past. Normally participants pick a prompt submitted to the challenge. Last year, there were no prompts provided, so I asked my fandom friends to submit some to me and I picked one.

This year, you guys submit prompts to me AND YOU GET TO VOTE ON THE ONE I WILL WRITE. (I am 99.99% sure this is a first for me – letting the readers choose my story!)

First, some rules (so I’m not given a prompt I cannot handle!):

1. space_wrapped is a Jim/Bones, i.e. McKirk, fic challenge. In some form or fashion, Jim and Leonard have to be in your prompt. I tend to write stories with a slant towards pre-McKirk, but it’s up to you if you want to submit an established McKirk prompt. Or it could be platonic.
2. Keep in mind I almost always slip Spock in there somehow. Maybe not romantically but I’m a McSpirk shipper at heart and a Triumvirate lover. Just sayin’. Be prepared.
3. Christmas, winter-related, holiday-centered – however you think of this time of year, I need to be able to use it, whether as the backdrop or as part of the plot. It’s a Christmas gift to the fandom after all!
4. Um. Don’t hate me here but NO PWP. No porn. No kinks. I can do sweet romance, kisses and maybe some sexy touching. I can do unrequited love. I can do angst-driven character death. But I cannot do the sex. I’m flawed that way, okay?

I will take submissions until September 30, and then I will post them on October 1st for voting. There is no limit to how many prompts you can submit.
